Overview

Nuance EHR is seeking a candidiate for the position of Epic Data Courier for a 6-month contract to permanent opportunity.  The engagement will take place in NYC. Consultant during this engagement is expected to travel 10% within the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for configuring, managing, and monitoring the Windows servers that provide the supporting infrastructure for the Epic database.
  • Create, configure and trouble shoot Data Courier interfaces
  • Manage the migration and troubleshooting of application build across Epic environments
  • Maintain Data Courier interfaces and protection settings in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Create documentation for use in infrastructure configuration, maintenance, and upgrade planning
  • Responsible for moving application build across environments via Data Courier
  • Ensure issues related to CID/UCI synchronization and dependencies are identified and resolved
  • Monitor task status through completion and provide status updates and reports as requested
  • Evaluate impact of upgrades and patches on current use of Data Courier
  • Participate in Change Control, Upgrade Planning, Downtime Planning, and Go-Live Planning committeesManage Data Courier Security classes and Item Profile Groups to the end users. Identify necessary IPGs (Item Profile Groups) and assign necessary users
  • Address Data Courier error messages
  • Apply SU, RA's if needed

Qualifications

Qualifications / Required Skill:

  • 2-3 years of Data Courier Management experience
  • Epic implementation or support experience
  • Knowledge about VMware View on Hyperspace.
  • Successfully achieve certification in Epic Data Courier 2014 (preferred)
