The credentialed trainer is responsible for providing successful in-classroom training to a diversified audience for a major Healthcare IT implementation of an electronic healthcare record using the EPIC system of applications.




The Credentialed Trainer is responsible for facilitating Epic (EHR) end user classroom training in an assigned application(s). Takes the lead in facilitating Epic (HER) the setup of the training classes that they are responsible to conduct along with quality control, including administering a proficiency assessment/evaluation at the end of each session. Keeps policy/procedure documentation for EHR training. 


  • This position requires completion of the credentialing process including an intense five to seven-week training program on the applications(s) you will be teaching, competency checking, teach-backs and teaching the application before a review panel prior to credentialing. 
  • Experience in a formal classroom setting with excellent classroom facilitation/speaking skills and strong understanding of training method 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills needed to work effectively with all levels across the organization 
  • Knowledge of the concepts, standards and practices related to adult learning and educational effectiveness 
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for delivering formal and informal training programs and evaluate their effectiveness 
  • Ability to express ideas and convey technical information effectively both verbally and written


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Associates degree or higher, plus 2-4 years of training experience; candidates with prior training delivery experience preferred. 
  • Healthcare industry background desired to understand the context of client workflows. Clinical background is a plus. 
  • Experience with support of assigned EHR application is preferred
